Lago di Bracciano is not well-known outside of Italy
our house was in ANGUILLARA SABAZIA, on the lake
it rained every day, but that enhanced the autumnal shades
and the bars and restaurants were cosy
Calcata, nearby, is a quintessential crumbling hilltown:

Calcata is indeed a unique place! Maybe a place you should visit is the ghost town of Canale Monterano, not far from Lake Bracciano
