Kiltennel forest walk in Wexford in the late summer was gorgeous

with the ferns growing pink and rusty in the woods

There is a timeless Wexford thatched cottage in a magical enclave at the entrance to old Kintennel Church, off the Ballymoney/Courtown road

Nearby in the forest there was still plenty of wildflower carrot in bloom, and lots of those lovely Holly Blue moths about

Storm Betty had torn up lots of trees and the sea was raging, grey

No swims that day, but the green light of this cool and deep forest was regenerating and calming

There’s a thing called shinrin-yoku (forest bathing), and it’s proven to improve your health; I’d say this is a good place to try it
