A winter weekend in Copenhagen, end of January

Swim temperatures around 4-5 degrees, maybe lower first thing; everywhere calm as a lake. This city is an incredible cold-swim destination: massively recommended for fanatics who like to have triple-swim days

The Danes really look after their bathing areas, displaying water quality and temperature throughout the year. They’re architectural works of art.

(Dublin feels far behind in comparison, with its many sad & derelict sea-baths of yore)

Four incredible swim spots are Islands Brygge; the phenomenal marvel Kastrup Søbad, AKA Sneglen; Kalvebod Bølge, and hidden treasure La Banchina

Go! for the swims and the Smørrebrød (I recommend Kronborg and 1733).
Lovely Roast is very handy for pre/post-swim coffees at Islands Brygge
