Scotland, far north, June 2024 …


Accomodation was Eriskay Views Cottage overlooking Coilleag a’ Phrionnsa (The Prince’s Beach), a delight:

Weather ferocious overall, but the chilly swims were good (especially Vatersay) & the machair looked gorgeous:


So pleased to find Eriskay ponies, endangered native ponies of the Hebrides, on Beinn Sciathain overlooking the causeway to South Uist:

Taigh Mor & lochside flora:


Streaks of turquoise at Newton Ferry, North Uist:

The water did its thing when the sun lit up the isles:







Mostly though the wind raged and rain threatened, but that’s the Outer Hebs
