holiday 2019 was in Inishowen

possibly the windiest place in Ireland

but epic and unearthly

some highlights… Ballyhillin, sitting 20m above modern sea levels:

like beaches of 15,000 years ago

Malin Well and Carrickabraghy Castle have similar ancient vibes

Five Fingers Strand is vast, lovely and treacherous

it’s all very remote, wet and extremely blowy

but if anything feels like the true ‘wild Atlantic’, this is it

Inishowen Peninsula is one of the most amazing and remote places to explore in Ireland. Our first road trip through the area was before the Wild Atlantic Way route was set up and we were utterly blown away by everything we had a chance to see.
