there is a great walk from Irishtown to Poolbeg
via Shelly Banks
full of interesting coastal plants and flowers
it surprised me that near the Poolbeg chimney stacks
there is a lovely tangled meadow
right next to the sea; there are even orchids
– if you look in a certain direction, you could be on some remote coast
not under an eggy-smelling urban sewage works or anywhere like that
Cold water coast
